I havn't ran since Friday and I have a track meet tomorrow, so I need to stay in shape. The only problem is it's really ugly and gloomy outside and I'm tired of running around the same places of my neighborhood. What should I do? I don't have a treadmill or anything like that.
Answer:
Concentrate on what you are doing not where you are doing it. Pay more attention to what your bodyis doing, think of your favorite song, or even push yourself a litlte harder.. the hardest part is walking out the front door to do it, take some time to pump yourself up, listen to some fast pased music and mentially get yourself going.
Take someone with u for company or run up and down the stairs for about 30mins
Stop complaining and go for a run. You sound lazy enough to me... maybe you would just prefer just sitting at home by yourself pigging out on a bucket of fried chicken?
Running up the stairs won't be good for your knees. Even though it develops your muscles, it causes too much stress on your knees however.Running with friends + music will make jogging less dull. Dress appropriately for the weather. This is better if you run in a group. If you live around a forest area, explore the woods. Just jog into different trails and different routes everytime, it can be a fun adventure. This is what I'd like to do. I always find a reason for me to run everytime. For example, there is a nice coffee shop that's kind of far away, but not that far that you need to drive there. So, I really want that coffee, so I run there. Take a coffee break there, and run back.
