I tend to get light-headed, very disoriented and my ears hurt when I am finished working out. Anyone know why!

Sometimes I feel disoriented for a few hours after running/jogging. Other times I feel very bad for two-three days. I always follow a low-fat, high protein diet. I'm in my mid-twenties. 6ft. 0, 200 lbs, I have an athletic build. My life is not stressful. My doctor tested me for diabetes and a bunch of other things (negative).I am very curious to hear what you may think of this. Please give you opinion...Have you ever heard of anything like it??
Answer:
you may have fluid in your ears that you are moving around when you exercise and that could cause your ears to hurt, it can also cause light headedness and vertigo. Has anyone done a head CT on you to rule out any type of tumor or things like that in your head? You may want to go to another Dr. and get a second opinion, just to make sure nothing serious is wrong. Hope you find out soon.
How is your hydration level? Try upping your water intake, and see if that helps. You can also try drinking sports drinks like Gatorade or Powerade, and see if that makes a difference. Also, be sure that you EAT something within an hour of working out -- carbs are best. Your body needs fuel when you make it work that hard!
Well I can't help you too much, but are your drinking enough water during the day? And are you drinking enough in the work out. Also what is your carb intake like? Have you been tested for any deficiancy?
Could be two things, either you dont have enough carbs in your system to work out or your dehydrated. Could be both. Eat something before you work out, like a high protein bar, a banana or drink a high protein drink. Also drink lots of water, your muscles store alot of water and if you dont have enough in your muscles to work out, Im sure you wouldnt feel good after the work out.
Heart problem, get checked for angina.
you know you might be low on iron - do you ever get dark circles under you eyes? maybe you could go get a blood test and see if you are low in anything or maybe you could have a thyroid problem if so you should go see an indocranologist - good luck
I agree with the people who indicate you may be dehydrated. Be sure to drink a lot of water before, during and after your workout.
Do you swim alot? Do you get swimmers ear? Have them check your inner ear for fluid!

I take controlled diet but sometimes i feel very hungry and loose my control, how to maintain myself?

Answer:
Find something to keep busy with... especially busy work with the hands is helpful to me. Doing things that would preclude simultaneous eating... gardening, something involving water, or other hobby or activity geared toward staying active without a handful of food. Often the activity is effective in reducing your attention to your 'hunger' by diverting it toward the task at hand.Good luck...see the source below for one suggestion as a past-time during your adaptive phase of your diet.
Eat enough so you're not starving yourself like your body is telling right now. Eat more fiber- it fills you up longer. Dieting is pointless unless you adjust your eating habits to something that is both healthier for you AND you can stand to do it. Your 'diet' right now clearly isn't working for you if you're lossing control (everyone slips up sometimes, but you shoulnd't feel a need to gorge yourself from depravation).

I take 45-50 minutes in the shower?

It takes me 45-50 minutes alltogether to wash my hair and shower. When I say that, I mean the water is on for 45-50 minutes. I've been trying so hard to decrease this time, but it's not working. Any suggestions besides thinking about the water bill?
Answer:
It's all about multi-tasking and getting the right products. Most people can skip the second shampoo if they leave their shampoo on for longer. Also, shaving time can be cut down if you skip the shaving cream and shave after you wash your body and you are still soapy. Here is my routine:1.) Undress and do not turn on the water until you are in the shower. (No water time)2.) As soon as the water starts and gets to the right temperature, wet your hair and put a healthly amount of shampoo, concentrate at the scalp and massage for 30 seconds. DO NOT RINSE. (45 seconds)3.) Facial scrub. I use St. Ives and scrub my face for 15-20 seconds. (30 seconds)4.) Rinse hair and face. (10 seconds)5.) Put conditioner in hair, use claw clip to hold hair back. DO NOT RINSE. (30 seconds)6.) Wash my face with cleaser and rinse face only. (45 seconds)7.) Lather up loofah (to exfoliate and you won't have to use a body scrub if you are very diligent with how you use your loofah) and scrub from neck to toes. DO NOT RINSE. (2 minutes)8.) Use good razor and the lather from your body wash to shave where you need to. Rinse your body off. (3 minutes)9.) Undo hair and rinse conditioner out. (1 minute)10.) Turn water off.If you keep to that timelime, it's about 7 minutes. If you need to add products, just find out what you can do at the same time. Also use products that double . . . like 2-1 shampoo/conditioners, auto lather razors, body scrubs/washes.
well u could take a bath!
I have the same problem. Can I join you so that we can cut 1/2 the time and 1/2 the water bill?
heh heh.fine thumbs down for me...*sigh*...
Why does it take you 45-50 minutes? I have waist length hair, and I shave in the shower, and it doesn't take me more than a half an hour. What are you doing in the shower that's causing you to spend so much time? Maybe you could try say, shaving your legs with a large cup of water, sitting on the edge of the tub, instead of doing it in the shower, to cut down on time?
into the shower, wet your hair straight away, shampoo once, rinse it off, shampoo twice rinse it off.
apply conditioner, leave it in, then after washing your hands apply your facial cleanser, leave it on, then lather your body with the soap / shower gel.
then rinse from top to bottom, wash it all off. then, apply some extra soap to your delicate areas, and wash off straight away.
done!
tip: line up all of your products in easy reach, because when you put your facial cleanser on, you will not be able to see anything.
are you OCD? Do you count things while you are in there?
If you're close to a river, jump in the river and get it done. Or if not, use bottle water and clean yourself. It worked for my father. No-- just kidding. Just scrub extra fast; maybe drink like ten cups of coffee before the shower so you're in hyper mode.
There is no reason to leave the water on the entire time you're in there. We had to watch how much water we used for a while or we'd run the well dry. So we got wet, cut the water off, soap up, turn the water on and rinse. Same with the hair. Now, don't say you can't do that, because you absolutely can.
I feel sorry for anybody awaiting their turn. Is there any hot water left for the next in line?
In summer camp one year, it was 19 of us and 1 shower. With only a few times in the day we could use it. We learned to shower under a minute and the rule was, if you took over 2 minutes you'd have a bucket of cold water dumped into the shower. By the end, we had it down to an art form. We could wash our hair and do a full scrubdown in about 45 seconds. With the next person waiting nearby in a towel to jump in when the person ahead exited.
are you doing other things besides cleaning yourself? start playing with yourself outside the shower -- maybe invest in a vibrator and stop using the shower hear for arousal -- batteries are cheaper that water =)
Just turn the water off while you wash. Then turn it back on to rinse. I've done it before. It's decent. You can open up the curtain and move around better. Plus you don't have to worry about the water prematurely washing away the soap, and you're less likely to slip from all the rushing water. Plus, I feel like there's less pressure on me to get done, because I'm not wasting water.

I suck!! Will you help me?

Lately I have been trying to slim down and firm up. I've been exercising every day, be it Pilates, treadmill, elliptical, etc. Yesterday I went WAY over my calorie limit, by like 1000 calories. Then this morning before I ate anything I ran for 45 minutes. But then today I've eaten like 3 servings of cinnamon toast crunch cereal and 400 calories worth of Milk Duds!! I've already hit my daily calorie limit and it's only 2:30pm!What can I do to recover so I will still lose weight? I am really disappointed in myself for eating like crap!
Answer:
Remember that if you are working out and go over your calorie limit then you can work out more to bring your calories down and back to your limit. Just think of it as if you eat more than you want than just work out more than you want.
UMM... try low calorie sweet stuff...splenda...and substitutes good job on exercising though if you keep it up without going over board (anorexic) you are my idol :)
If you truly want to lose weight you can't eat sugary things all the time for your calorie limit do NOT go below 2,000 a day and eat every four hours. as far as exersize keep doing it. cardio will help you lose weight but if you want to firm up too you need to lift weights combine the two and you WILL see results, however if you do lifting you might gain weigh..but you will slim down
since i have started cardio and weight training i have lost inches but gained weight
you're doing it the wrong way. Instead of starving yourself then eating high calorie food, eat small frequent meals and add plenty of veggies and fruits to your diet.
Eat more protein and less sugar. You will get a nice high from the sugar but your body will store it as fat. Try and eat protein and carbs together too..like cottage cheese mixed in with low fat or non fat yogurt. Eat 5 mini meals a day as well and you won't want to binge eat. Good Luck!
just watch what you eat really closely for the rest of the week. don't take the first bite of "forbidden" food if you can't stop with one. if you want something sweet, get a piece of fruit.

I started using creatine and I put on 10 pounds in a week. Is this all water weight?

Answer:
yea it is. that's the thing about creatine, if you stop using it, you''ll skrink. i use NO2 and creatine. i'm sure more than half of that 10 pounds is water, a little of that is fat and some is muscle if you have been working out intensely.
That's a lot of weight. The kids bought a set of bathroom scales the other day with water%, % body fat, %lean muscle mass and weight readouts. you should try and find something like that.. stop the creatine until you can ascertain exactly what is going on. I've read somewhere that you shouldn't really be able to put on much more than a couple pound of muscle a week ~ can't vouch for that.. I seem to oscillate and then put on a packet. The new scales might help tell me what's happening.
A lot of that is probably water weight. but still 10 pounds is a lot.It takes up to 3 weeks for Creatine for body to process and use. So how long you been using it. The 2nd thing I would think about would be when you weighed yourself. After meals, after drinking a lot, after exercising and sweating. What were you wearing. What scale(S) did you use.All things being equal... dude 10 pounds is a lot to gain in a very short period.Go do your research so you don't hurt yourself.
HMMM try this

I started to sweat and smell for the first time in my life, after changing eating habits, can this be related?

My diet until I was 38 was meat and junk food, i never sweat and never ever smell bad, now for the last 3 years I eat much better, lots of vegetables, olive oil, whole wheat bread with nice grains,
almost no red meat ( maybe one portion every two months )
some fish and chicken, and I drink water insted of beer,
I sweat and smell strong, not very pleasnt, can this be related?
Answer:
cabbage? asparagus? brussel sprouts? makes your pee smell...why not sweat?
Yes it can. What we eat does secrete through our pores.
Think about it.You started eating right, and now you smell. When you were a junk food junkie, you didn't smell.I think your nose is working better now.
.
It very well could be. Your body is used to a certain type of food and you have turned it upside down. I went through the same thing only the opposite way. I, after changing from junk and meat stopped sweating altogether, and don't even need to use deordorant. I still have meat, but only red once a month, and like you I eat whole wheat breads and brown rice. I do however drink wine. I would think based on the fact that we both had changes (mine was not bad in the first place, but is now non existant). I would suggest you talk to your doctor to see if there is a supplement or an additional food that may help. I have heard naturalpaths are good at this. I just won't go because I happened to get a very bad one.

I started reductil today and I can't stop eating! Anyone experienced this?

I tried them before with no problems. I've learned It's a possible side effect but will it subside?
Answer:
When are people going to stop looking for the magic pill and actually do something for themselves. Now if you really want to loose weight and use pills then I will sell you the very best pills you can buy. You must follow the instructions faithfully every day or there is not guarantee that these pills wll help you. Now did you understand what I just wrote. It is not the pill that will do you any good at all. Some do make you feel different due to the chemicals they use. Just another drug to become adicted to. It is what you do that is the key. If you do as the instructions tell you to do then why do you need the pill. Sure is making many people very wealthy while they laugh at you.
Why don't you join weight watchers and learn how to eat this way you will learn how to eat healthy and keep the weight off. a coworker of mine has lost 70lbs by doing this in about 6months.
put the cheese burger down and back away.
the best thing for you to do is to cleanse...My family and I have been using the best cleansing technology...:)the first time I did it, I lost 13 pounds in 9 days:). www. cleansewithcgnj. com
First time I used it it was great.Second time I used Reductil it had no effects whatsoever. If anything i ate more than usual! After 3 weeks the appetite suppresent effect still hadn't come back. Doubling the dosage didn't help either.I think me and Reductil had just come to the end of our time together. xxx

I started my diet a month ago and i lost 2 kilos the first 2 weeks then i stopped losing what can i do HELP?

eventhough im still on my diet i do exercises for at least 30 minutes everyday beside the other activities i do all over the day. what can i do to start losing again. please tell me something that works
Answer:
Most importantly, don't give up now, you're on the right track! You always lose weight quickly the first few weeks because a lot of that weight is water and remember weight fluctuate wildly between daily weigh-ins. A better way to estimate your progress is measuring your waist, hips etc because they shrink even if your weight doesn't show any change.
You will start losing again this is normal. It may take a week or so to start losing again DON'T GIVE UP!! You can do this and stop weighing yourself so much check yourself just once a week. Good luck!!
The first weight you lost was FLUID-not fat. It was probably simply because you started exercising more. In order to loose weight you will need to ensure your heart rate is greater than 120beats/min.You need to reacess your diet, the weight you intially lost was nothing to do with the diet- rather exercise.
Congratulation!
If you do not do exercise any more.

What works is the fad diet. But that's for the last resort. You might want to fix your eating plan, try to eat more negative calories salad.Several foods contains so little energy that our body will need more energy to digest it through the long process and absorbs the nutrients. So by eating these type of foods, we hope the calories intake vs outtake balance will be negative.
Onions and Garlics
Cucumber
Tomato
Cabbage
Celery
Lettuce
Apricot
WatermelonCombine this into salad with low fat dressing, try to consume it everyday.hope this helps.

I started my 9 day Isagenix cleanse today, and I don't know how I am going to keep it up!!?

I got the tropical drink and it is actually not bad but I daon't know how I am going to do it for 2 days and then 2 days next week, I know that the 2 shakes and the 1 meal should be pretty easy, any suggestions on how to keep it up, and not give up??
Answer:
Water water water. It is only 9 days of your life and it will be worth it if you stick to it.
If you NEED to, you could have a little green salad or an apple. Just keep it clean! For me, it is either the salad or a bag of cookies.
The salad keeps the cookies at bay!
I agree with PP, what about your sponsor?Good Luck!bardays.isagenix.com

I started losing weight but recently have been slipping, how do I get get myself going again?

I am a 5'8 guy and weighed 250 lbs. I saw a friend who used to weigh more than me lose alot of weight and because of that got myself motivated. Eventually I dropped 30 lbs in two and half months by lowering my calories and working out more often (the good old fashion way). However, recently I find myself slipping into old eating habits (not as terrible as I used be when I would carelessly eat anything, but I still feel guilty about it) an noticed an overall lack of motivation. I'm worried that I may slip back into my old habits and stop being active and eat whatever I want. This change also happened around the same time I hit a plateau - when doing as much work as I used to do yielded little to no noticeable change. I also find myself focusing more on doing weight training in the gym rather than cardio (weight training is a lot more fun to do than cardio). I was also wondering if I should change up my gym routine to focus back on more cardio and less on weight training.
Answer:
Actually, weight training (believe it or not) is more effective than cardio. This is because weight training increases your muscle mass which will burn extra calories 24 hours per day. Cardio is good but it does not have this residual fat burning effect. In addition, running a mile at your weight burns less than 130 calories. That is only about a tablespoon full of oil.Keep lifting weights. One trick which works with nutrition is to get rid of all of the junk food in your house today and only buy healthy foods. If you want an occasional treat, then go out for the treat. It is harder to eat junk if it is not readily available. Here is a healthy foods list:

I spent 2 hours in the gym, and I have not loss any lbs, I do 25 min, on cardio, what can I do to bur more?

Answer:
Hi there, you have to give your body a chance, don't hurry it. It takes time to loose it. Just keep on going to the gym, but don't over do it, you might pass out. You decided to go to the gym, you have to decide also about diet, change your diet, if you're eating junk and then go to the gym, it will not work. Eat healthy food. Goodluck and wish you good health !
don't eat so much next time.
How fast do you expect the fat to come off? I wish it only took two hours in the gym. Try working out longer like weeks to start seeing some results!
If you just take a walk for 30 minutes a day you will start losing weight in no time. A healthy diet helps as well.
eat right. if u burn 500 calories at the gym then say have have mcdonalds it kinda defeats the prupose. and yes it doesnt matter if u ordered a diet coke the burger and fries will get ya lol jk but seriously u need to watch what is going inside ur body
2 hours in the gym! try doing it everyday and cut back on calories. i walk 30 mins everyday and have around 1250 calories a day. and try not to eat past 8pm. and i lost 59 pounds it also took 8 months., take one day at a time. good luck

I sleep at 11 pm & get up at 6 am but i donot feel freshness"why. Should i sleep early around 8 pm ?

Answer:
The human Body needs the average of 8 hours sleep. But it depends on the age and Gender. for example, children need to sleep more than 8 hours because they are more active during the day.
Moreover, from my own experience, I used to sleep early and wake up early and every time i wake i used to feel really tierd and that i want to sleep more . but when i count the hours that i slept am supposed to feel fresh and energetic. I had this experience for quiet long time until one day i decided to ask the doctor and the doctor recommended that i do blood test for my Vitamins. i found that some of my Vitamins were low and that was the reason why i kept feeling that i didn't have enough sleep.
I really recommend you to do a normal blood test just to know if everything was normal.
Well I go to sleep around 8 every night and wake up at around 6ish and I feel fine. Your hours are OK if you like them but make sure that you are getting at least 8 hours of sleep every day. You can even take naps in the afternoon if you want. Oh, and by, the way taking naps also helps your heart out lots more! Good luck!
Have you investigated wheter you are a MOrning Lark or a Night Owl , both have slightly different clocks . I am VERY MUCH a morning lark ,but there are degress.
If you are trying to force yourself into the wrong routine for your type you wil not get the amount of refreshing sleep as you need look into this phenomena .
As a clue if you are a moring lark you will face your breakfast with Gusto if you are a night owl you wont feel like eating till about three Hours after Waking
It might be possible you OSA(obstructive sleep apnea). I didnt know I had it until a dr sent me for a sleep study. I now wear a c-pap and im so much more productive throughout the day.
well, sleeping at 3,4 am and getting up at 8 work for me.i gez u just have ta find ur biorythm, dats all.
11 to 6 is seven hours sleep, and maybe this is your bodies way of telling you that you need eight. Try going to bed at 10 for awhile and see if that helps. If not, a healthier diet and exercise may be the answer!
Yes! Nothing wrong w/ going to bed early.the secret to success!
y don't u try sleepin at 10pm %26 get up at 6am(make sure u r relaxed before sleepin,do not keep any tension in ur mind.make sure that the place u sleep is clean %26 comfy esp ur bed,%26 most of all don't change ur sleeping timings every single day)
if u still don't feel fresh then better consult a doctor

I saw an advertisement for the air climber, is it any good?

Answer:
Basically it is just another stepper. It will be as good as it claimed if you used it consistently enough with a sensible diet. That will leave you with no reason not to do do cardio at home when you have that. :)

I s 150 overweight?

I am 42 years old and I do excerise daily,I am 5'3 and my body seems fine except for my belly from having 3 kids...LOL
Answer:
Yes- slightly. You should be 120 for your height and you will be very psyched.
My family and I have been using the best cleansing technology...:)the first time I did it, I lost 13 pounds in 9 days:). www. cleansewithcgnj. com
Taking age into consideration, no, that's actually a pretty healthy weight.
your weight is no problem. But you need to make belly exercises. Lay on your bed. Hang your head over the foot of your bed. Be comfortable. Now make sit ups . Start out with 5, 7, 10, 15 20 and as much in time as you can do. You will see a difference. There are other exercises that don't take longer than 10 minutes and have great result over time.140 is the limit in weight you should carry for 5'3.
Your BMI is 26.6 which is technically overweight. There have been a few studies that show that having a slightly elevated BMI actually increases your life span. While you may be able to lose a few pounds, your weight doesn't seem like it is putting your health in jeopardy.
no
maybe a little, but as long as you eat right and exercise, you should be OK.
noway i wish i was 150 lbs lol i'm pushing 280 lbs i'd say thats a great weight to be at and happy early birthday enjoy

I run out of breath after approx 5 minutes on a treadmill. How can I improve my lung capacity?

I don't seem to be able to say on the treadmill long enough for it to have a long term effect.
Answer:
Coolrunning.com has a Couch-to-5k program. Basically, it starts with walking for 30 minutes straight. Then, you run in short bursts, but mostly spend the 30 minutes walking. It continues until you're running the whole thing. Running has a high perceived exertion rate, so it takes some time to build up to it, regardless of what kind of shape you're in.
do it everyday, and a little longer each day. You'll pick up in no time.
drink lots of water the more you run the better you will get and start at a slow pace and work you way up
You might want to go get your heart check out. Get a stress test done.
run more slowly. Find a pace where you can run more than 5 minutes. Over time (a few weeks) you will be able to increase your speed. But for jogging, you are supposed to find a speed that allows the exercise to be aerobic. When you run out of breath you've used up your oxygen, and the exercise becomes anaerobic.
Some have to start by walking rather than jogging on a treadmill. If you can't walk for 5 minutes without running out of breath, you may have some health problems, and need to visit your doctor.
You can practice deep breathing meditation. This is an ancient practice where you simply breath in and out slowly, counting as you do.
As you breath in, count slowly in your head; count as high as you can while inhaling deeply. Hold it for as long as you can count again ( i can make it to 60 now ) and then slowly, deliberately exhale, counting also.Practice it for 5 minutes a day at first, and add a higher count each day until you achieve your goal.
This can also be used as a form of mediation which can reduce your BP, increase your awareness in general, and promote better mental health all around. It hasn't failed me ( along with other practices ) in over 30 yrs.
OH, and if you would ever like to try an exercise in will power, try taking 45 minutes to an hour to eat ONE potato chip.
Have a good day, and keep breathing.

I run 2 miles a day how often i should take a day off... ?

Answer:
My old personal trainer told me that one is supposed to take one day off no matter what kind of exercise one does.
You don't really need to, that isn't a lot of running.
You should probably take an interval day range of 1-2 days if you run every single day. If you don't want to take a day off, run a less distance.
Probably 1-2 days, I run about 5 miles every sat. and sun. and I usually take a good 1-2 days off.
You don't say how old you are or what level of fitness you have so it is a little harder to say.
The most important thing is that you are wearing the correct footwear. Why? Because injuries occur most often due to over training compared to your level of fitness and not wearing the proper running shoe.
However if you are reasonably fit and have no injuries then you really aren't doing a mileage high enough to absolutely require a break. What you might want to do is make the seventh day a good walk rather than a run.
If on the other hand you are over weight and using running to lose weight, then in that case, run 3 days in a row and then 4th day walk. Then 3 days running 4th day off until your fitness level goes up.
You might then want to increase your mileage by say varying the milage of the 3rd day in each running sequence by an extra mile.
IE 2,2,3,2W..2,2,3 off. Do that say 2 x thru and then change up
IE 2,3,3,3W..2,3,3 off Do that say 2 x thru and then change up
IE 3,3 4 off... 3,3,4 off
as you can see you are gradually increasing distance without strain, and because you have gone up you take a rest every 4th day.
Listen to your body though.
I would, once you get to 3,3,4 ..stay at that distance but try and gradually drop down your times.
Then once you get to a plateau on times you might want to start to increase your distance again.
You might even want to throw in a couple of different runs, do something like fartlek training or a couple of interval sessions.Good luck with your running it is a great way to take the strain from the day and revitalise the brain

I ride my bike for two hours every Saturday and Sunday...?

Am I losing any weight or building any muscle? I also eat properly through out the whole week.
Answer:
I don't think you are losing any weight. That's really not that much exercise. But you probably are gaining muscle.
脽眉bbl毛拧
Probably building some nice strong legs ... a weight scale can answer about the weight ....

I recently started working out again and my thighs are swollen, is this normal?

Answer:
Yes it is. It's just that your body forgot what's it's like to be active. Take things slow for 1-2 days (excercise lightly) and you will be on the right track. Best of luck.

I recently lost about 50 pounds and recently started to binge eat on ice cream and other junk.?

i know that doing this could ruin everything i have accomplished i am only 16 and i look at how bad my friends food is and i usually dont eat what they eat and i eat healthier but then i come home and pig out on ice cream and chocolate there are certain things i dont eat like chips and candy and i dont drink pop so basically i need to stop eating ice cream and cut out so many homemade treats I need some healthy alternatives!
Answer:
When anxiety, fear, loneliness, anger, guilt or any uncomfortable emotion becomes too difficult to control, food provides a powerful distraction.Food changes the chemical balance in the body. some foods increase endorphin levels, which in turn creates a sense of happiness or contentment. We associate being full with comfort. Fullness increases comfort, which counteracts negative emotions. And if a person eats past fullness to discomfort, the physical sensation distracts the mind from other problems. Eating also takes time, time that might otherwise be spent thinking negative thoughts.Of course, afterwards, we feel guilty and then go on a new diet or fast or get involved in a heavy exercise routine to try and fix the heavy load of calories consumed. But what most of us find out is that this is a continual cycle that will appear again in hours, days, weeks or maybe even months from now. Please take the time to go to your local library and get a book on eating disorders to help yourself with this problem.
100 calorie packs and Snack Pack puddings are amazing! These all have 100 calories or fewer! Also, believe it or not, sugar free fudgecicles only have 40 calories per pop!
you can still have ice cream, just eat sherbert or Rice Dream. and homemade treats can be healthy. mix 1 cup both oatmeal and peanutbutter and add 1/4 cup honey roll into balls and chill in fridge. SO GOOD

I recently lost about 40 lbs...What's the best way to shrink my clothes?

Answer:
Put those clothes on a diet! But all kidding aside, I would think reaaaaaally hot water would shrink clothes to a point. If you lost as much as you did, you should reward yourself with buying a whole new wardrobe. And congrats on the weight loss!
Lol, very funny. I think the best way to get a new wardrobe cheap is check on ebay for clothes in your new size. Congratulations!
Honestly... I would go and get some new clothes but you could try washing them in cold water and then drying them just a little (only a little) too long.
Congrads on the weight loss.
congratulations! Go buy yourself some new/used clothes. you deserve it
wow thats great..you should do the dryer thing or you could just buy new clother

I recently bought a 0 calorie soft drink made with maltodextrin. isnt this sugar which should have calories?

the brand was great value, which is a walmart distributed brand. to be honest it almost tastes to good to be true. i was under the imprssion maltodextrin was a simple carbohydrate of a starch origin, it also contained aspartame but in a lesser amount.
Answer:
I would have to agree with you...maltodextrin is very similar to glucose, and is absorbed into the blood stream at the same rate. Being a carbohydrate, it should have 4 calories per gram. How much is in the soft drink?
you are correct...maltodextrin is a glucose polymer and it is made from corn starch just like dextrose. it has a GI of 100 the same as dextrose and will jack up your blood sugar when consumed in excess. the US government allows companies to deceptively label food items. this is why it's up to the individual to learn what they are consuming on a regular basis.
Unless the soft drink was pure water, it had calories in it.

I recently added weights for dumbell curls and my neck aches?

I added some weights to my dumbells and when i do curls i can reach to 10 reps but once i reach my 6th rep my neck kinda feels weird like pull in my neck. So should i change to 6 reps a set?
Answer:
Sil,Your form is bad. The same thing happened to me when I added weights for my dead lifts (my back was hurting).Change your form: bend slightly at your waist and unlock your knees...play around with stuff like that until you find what works for you.
Poor form, most likely poor posture. Tuck your chin, keep facing ahead, keep your shoulders from rounding forward, stand up tall with the chest up. You probably want to lower the weight until you learn the right movement first. from what you are telling me, most likely you are doing it the wrong way.

I really would like some help. Please??

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
"Trim" is a word used frequently in ab products. In reality, no exercise equipment will trim or reduce your waist. If you haven't heard by now, you cannot spot reduce fat (except by liposuction!). So don't believe ANY abdominal toning equipment advertisement that promises to decrease fat around your waistline. The fact is that ab exercises will train your abdominal muscles, but you will have the same layer of fat sitting on top of these muscles unless you create a calorie deficit by burning more calories than you consume. The most effective combination is aerobic exercise, strength training and healthy eating habits. You might not like this answer, but it is the only one that will work in the long run. Don't look for quick-fixes--as we all know, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!

Keep running. Try running for 30 minutes or so every day. Also, drink lots of water, eat a balanced diet, and control your portions.
You can still eat what you want to like chocolate and hamburgers, but just eat less of it. don't stuff your self. also, working ot might help a lot aswell.
walking, riding a bike, lots of water, green tea, anything that keeps you active. Also limit your intake of saturated fats!
I find that outdoors activities work really well compared to working out at a gym. The challenges keep changing and you keep adjusting so you're constantly challenged differently. I took up indoor rock climbing. It's great for your arms, upper body, and back. Go hiking, try kayaking. You have to do both cardio and weights to really slim down fast. Muscles is what burns calories when you're not doing anything. Cardio is when you use your major muscles to burn a lot fo calories at once while you're exercising. Work it up slowly so you're not in so much pain that you'll end up abandoning you're routine. Try 30 min cardio and 30 min weights. Learn to use the cable machines at the gym. This way you'll use muscles you're not used to using, therefore creating a new physical challenge to your body. Last, but definitely not least, eat healthy. Eat small portions and eat often ( 6 meals per day). Try to have food that is fresh, something that you prepare yourself. Stay away from diet foods. Have some meat, whole grains, veggies and fruits. Listen to your body when it's full. Don't keep changing flavors in a meal, it'll confuse your sense of fullness. Try to keep it to 3 types of food. Ex. breakfast, 2 eggs, 2 slices of whole wheat toast with preserve, and a glass of milk. I like 2%...tastes like whole milk!Good luck, remember the goal is to be fit and healthy, not emaciated with just skin and bones. Think Jessica Biel or Jessica Alba, or Jessica Simpson! The Jesses have gotten it down!

I really want to increase height as i am short.but i am 21.Do u see any scope at this age?

There is one place which promises to increase 4 inch height by giving oil massages and tablets. But are they really effective.
And are these tablets really harmful in the long term?
Answer:
HORMONE PILLS WOULD HAVE HELPED. but now you're screwed. massages. yea. You're joking?
potions don't work
cosmetic leg lengthening:
http://www.shortsupport.org/health/leg-l...
No, there is no way to increase your height. Sorry.
nope sorry, you're probably just gonna shrink from here.
It is possible but very rare to still be growing at this point in your life. How is your posture? You can visit a chiropracter and have him correct your posture. This can add one to two inches to your height. But four inches? I don't know about that.
1. Speak with your primary care doctor. Make sure that there is nothing going on in your body.2. Never take any tablets without consulting your doctor or the local pharmacist.3. Try rolfing. Many believe it helps them "feel" taller. Others believe they actually do get taller. On the Rolfing Institute site they offer this quote: Joe Greene, two-time U.S.A. Olympic bronze medal long jumper says, "Rolfing works. It really makes a huge difference. I've been in track and field a long time and wish I had known about it sooner. My stomach tenses and my hips tighten when I jump. The Rolfing bodywork helped me to breathe and I felt taller."4. I have a young girlfriend who is 5'4". Just by the way she carries herself you would think she is 5'7'.I know you live in a society that holds certain physical attributes in high regard. The truth is it doesn't matter what height, weight, color or national origin you are as long as you learn to hold yourself in high esteem. As you ask your doctors and others about your height issue, find a way to also empower yourself to be a well-rounded, intelligent young man and you will stand stall no matter what.My best wishes.
sorry but oil massages and tablets are not going to change what your genetics has already determined. the only way to change the length of the human skeletal system is by growth hormone injections or the extremely painful bone lengthening surgery. neither of which are covered by insurance

I really want to have a flat tummy and loose some useless weight..oh please help me?

Answer:
First you need to concentrate on losing fat...if you have too much body fat, all the sit ups and crunches in the world won't help. Even though these exercises tone your stomach muscles, you'll never be able to see the results if you still have fat covering it up.The best way to lose fat and build muscle (which will make your abs flatter) is aerobic exercise...like jogging or running. And make sure you're not eating too many calories a day, or you'll just cancel out all the good that your exercise did for you. Here's a good website for calculating how many calories your body needs:http://weightloss.about.com/od/eatsmart/...After a couple months, you'll probably notice that your stomach is already looking a lot better...even if you haven't done any ab-specific exercise. If you haven't already started exercising your abs, this is when you should start. Don't forget to continue your aerobic exercise, but also throw in some ab-specific exercise 3-5 times a week.A really good ab exercise is the flutter kick. To do this, lie on your back and raise both your legs in the air so they're about 2-4 inches off the ground. Keep your legs straight. Move the right leg a couple more inches up, then lower it (but not to the ground, it should still be 2-4 inches off the ground at it's lowest point) while raising your left leg a couple inches. Continue to alternately raise and lower your right and left legs at a rapid pace for at least a minute (remember, neither leg should ever hit the ground). As your abs get stronger, increase your time. Also, doing crunches on one of those big fitness balls works pretty well. The important thing to remember is that just doing ab exercises isn't enough, you have to maintain a regular aerobic exercise routine, too.
stop eating ...and answer my quesions
watch your diets everyday such as eat more vegetables, drink lots of water but not soft drinks (gatorade, coca-cola)... exercise at least 30 minutes each dayP.S. don't eat night snacks especially those that contained high calories and high cholesterol

Eat Less, and Exercise More. Get a balanced diet that incorporates less fat. Also READ the ingredients on the food labels and stay away from the ones that will eventually kill you.
Diet and exercise. Try a diet plan simple like weight watchers and follow their workout guidelines and you should be ready for Summer.
try going to curves...the 30 minute workout will really help flatten your tummy and other parts of your body

I really want to get into shape before summer, what workouts should i do?

I really need to get rid of some belly fat and love handles or whatnot, I despise running though. Should I just focus on pushups and situps? Or is there something I am missing. I'll do pretty much anything here except run. Help is much appreciated. Muscles are my friend. =) Thanks everyone
Answer:
I think swimming is the all around best workout without the high impact on your bones and joints. I love to get in the pool and powerwalk before I go gung-ho doing laps, the fantastic thing is it's easy to take a break because you can just lay back and float and relax before you power at it again.
this is a summer swimming is the best for you
kickboxing
Technically speaking, you do not need to exercise to lose the belly fat and love handles. You are able to, if you are disciplined, to eat right and maintain a lean, healthy body. The problem is, you are eating and/or drinking too much. Exercise helps because it burns excess calories that you are taking in, and may build or tone your muscles. So, what you have to do first is examine what you are eating. Are you eating a breakfast that is high in protein and good carbohydrates (like oatmeal)? Are you eating mostly fish and vegetables for lunch and dinner? If not -- start with that. Have egg whites and oatmeal for breakfast, and salad/vegetables and fish/chicken for lunch and dinner.Second, cut out all snacks if they are not vegetables. No potato chips, sweets, or anything else.Third, take a multi-vitamen daily and drink a generous quantity of water every day.Fourth - exercise -- if you want to burn you gut fat and your love handles you should do cardio - walk, jog, bike ride, or use the machines at the gym. Do an hour per day of that. You do those four things, and I guarantee you will slim down.

I really want to be skinny?

i weight 112 pounds and i run, but i feel like i've gained fat even though i haven't gained weight. i want to be toned and slim, but i run everyday (about 3 miles when the cross country season starts i'll run about 45 miles/ week). how can i lose weight before the cross country season starts? (august). i want to lose 8 pounds HEALTHFULLY. how can i do this?
Answer:
eat healthy and drink water. that's it.
dude, you're skinny enough. You need to have SOME fat.
why are you so obsessed with losing weight? I don't know how tall you are, but 112 doesn't sound fat at all to me. It also sounds as if you run a LOT so you are probably skinny already. Get a life. And talk to a therapist, because it sounds like you have some body image issues that border on anorexia nervosa.
go to a site like fitday.com to figure out your daily caloric needs and track calories. To safely lose plan to eat 200 to 500 calories less than maintenance per day. Foods that help with weight loss are cruciferous veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, asparagus, brussel sprouts, green leafy vegetables, cold water fish, almonds, etc
Sound like you are healthy, perhaps you don't look skinny because you have muscles. So keep the muscle, its good for you. Don't try to look like everyone else.

first off, i wish i ran as much as you did. thats amazing!!! if you want to be toned, try working your abs every day, about 100 crunches/sit ups/whatever. try also looking into finding out what foods can help boost metabolism, which might help but im really not sure
First and foremost weight is not your issue. The "fat" may be because your body is used to running so much that it's compensating. ie. if you eat less you don't necessarily stay skinny because your body start metabolising slower. Work on crunches and lifts. The only thing you need to worry about is gaining and maintaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat but at least you look toned.
My field is in fashion, as a result many people ask me how they can slim down. My answer is always the same: good diet and exercise. But I found this great product which I think helps a lot in the process. I recommend you check this website
http://www.hyperl.info , they have a free trial and you only pay 6.95$ shipping and handling. Good luck!
I'm trying to lose weight too and it's sooo hard. My aunt is using a weight loss product and it's really working for her. I'm gonna try it and I recommend you try it too. Check their website at

I really want a piece of toast?

but I'm going to bed in like 30 minutes.I only had 811 calories today...would that bread turn into fat if I ate it and then went to bed?
Answer:
the minimum amout of calories a person should take in (even when dieting) is 1200mg.if you go lower than that-your body goes into what is called "starvation mode" b/c it thinks it's starving and it will actually store ANY unused calories (the ones it doesn't use to keep your body going throughout the day) as fat. so in turn, you will lose the weight eventually, but over time you will gain it all back and more so b/c your body is trying to save itself.i would eat the toast-as long as you stay at 1200 calories-you're good.
Of course it would! Eat a piece of fruit instead.
No, your body will use up the bread just to keep it functioning if you have only had 811 caloires today.
Honey...I know this doesnt help tonight but I really think you need to eat more during the rest of the day. That is a sickening low amount of calories.
if you only had 811 calories you need to eat the bread. It isn't going to hurt anything.
toast? Seriously? Go on girl. Live on the edge
811That's not dieting, that's starving. It's best to get most of your calories early in the day, yes but I think you can afford to eat something right now, just this once.I think you should get at least 1400-1800 daily, and that's a for a very petite person. It's not too hard to exercise enough to burn that amount. If I try to consume less than 2400 I will start seeing spots and get chills %26 dizzy when trying to play ball or bike riding before a week is up.
No you must have a problem like bulimia or your anorexic please get help if you had 811 calories your killing yourself hope you get the help you need. You must look like a starving Cambodian.
Yes go for it!
Will it turn to fat? Of corse not! Your body continues to burn 57 cals an hour to function whilst sleeping. It is a common misconseption that your body still functions when you eat next to no calories, when infact you can start to mentally deteriorate and become exhausted by not eating enough!
Eat it.. just dont use a lot of butter.Whole wheat/grain bread is good for you.Carbs are good for you no matter what anyone thinks and are vital to your good health and nutrition.. as long as they are consumed in healthy moderation.
It will no more turn to fat than if you ate something else or ate it a different time of the day. You definitely need the counsel of a dietitian. Often ,if you walk into the dietetic department of your hospital you can get free counsel.
Girl, eat the toast. Its not gonna hurt you. I think you need to consume more calories than that per day.
Darling, it takes 3200 calories to make a pound of weight. How is a piece of toast going to make you fat?
Go eat it now, your body is going to go into starvation mode if you keep this up.

There is no fast weight loss. I know how you feel and the only way is waiting it out and cutting proportions. My friend lost 16 pounds in 7 weeks on Weight Watchers. I would give that a try. Remeber, You are what you eat!!
eat at Mcdonalds more
First and foremost are you sure you are 10 pounds overweight ?Consult your physician. This is a good idea for many reasons. The first reason is because they will tell you the truth. Secondly they can help you understand that your self image needs to consist of more than your external appearance. I am happy to hear that you are concerned about your health, but I am also concerned that you are overly concerned with how others view you.
cut out carbs premake and freeze good low fat meals so there is always something to eat quick and keep your fridge full of fruit and vegies. join weight watchers and go to the meatings there is a bunch of people there for support. One more thing, eat a good breakfast with milk it will help you. my wife just lost 60 pounds.

I really really need help.?

I am always eatting and I am never hunger. I am just always eatting its never endding and I am never hunger ... So I gain weight to often.I really need help so I can lose weight maybe around 10 or 15 pounds. ... I need to know how I can stop eatting so much and thinking of food. This started about In Nov..and I dont want to gain any more weight..Please help..
If any Ideas please list. I love to walk and Ride bikes ...But its really hard to do With work and all....
Answer:
click on my profile and either instant me or email me..i'll ask a few questions and get you on the right track...I am educated in this area and have helped many people...good luck
drink decaf coffee when you are hungry; it stumps the appetite
drink a lot of water
when you get the munchies and want to eat something, chew gum!
also, go do something else, and find something to distract you from eating
if you want to lose weight then you will need to eat no more than 1200 calories a day and exercise most days of the week
It sounds like you are hungry...mentally hungry. Keep your mind busy, break your old routines, and try to go for a walk at the same time every day. By eating when you are not hungry, you are literally stretching your stomach out so it takes more to fill it! Here are some more ideas:
+ Snack on baby carrots, raisins, or almonds
+ Put a picture of you at your ideal weight on the fridge or back of your bedroom door (or a model)
+ Make it a point to stop using the microwave (foods high in the bad stuff but quick and easy to make!)
Good luck...it is a difficult thing to do, but if you set your mind to it, it will happen.
excuse me.. when you want to find the time to do something.. you find it... maybe a litter lazy.. boring... happen... and if you want to lose weight put a lock in your refrigerator... lol... or try to be busy.. do you have kids? play with them more often.. husband.. same... invite a friend to walk with you when you start thinking about food... go to clean you car... start made the laundry.. something that take you out of the kitchen.. also put a picture on the refrigerator... (motivator) of someone that you NOT want to be. like fat person.. (not offend)Ps. you are only the person that can change.. if you looking a miracle can happen, but if you not help.. the miracle not happen..good luck
seriously if you want to lose weight you should try the reverse diet. all you do is eat dinner for breakfast keep lunch the same and eat breakfast for dinner. Working out at least 4 times a week can really help. This is the easiest way and it really works!
A couple of weeks ago I heard about phentermine from a girl who also tried clenbuterol and had NO results. She tried phentermine 37.5 mg after the clenbuterol disaster. She lost about 25 pounds in 2 months using phentermine 37.5 mg. Her cousin lost about 50 pounds in 3 months using it. Naturally I was interested in phentermine 37.5 mg and began to do some research on it. After my research I decided to give it a try.I ordered my phentermine (37.5 mg) on 4/19/07 from a website called US-Pills.com. I received my order in 6 days, 4/25/07. They do have express shipping if you want to receive your order sooner. I paid $199.00 for 90 pills, which is a 3 month supply. I know that sounds expensive, but I checked NUMEROUS web sites and this site seemed to have the best prices and also seemed to be a legit site. If you can get a prescription from your doctor it would be a lot cheaper. Unfortunately, my doctor refused to provide me a prescription because she said I was not obese and she only will prescribe phentermine to obese patients. I've been taking my phentermine (37.5 mg) since 4/26/07 and I can tell already that it's working!! Here are some of my results so far. I feel like I'm melting. My closes are fitting loser and when I look at myself in the mirror after I get out of the shower I look smaller. My phentermine came with instructions, which instructed me to take 1 pill per day in the morning 30 minutes prior to breakfast. I take my pill as soon as I get up and go to the gym about 30 minutes later. I feel so energized and have the best workouts then I have had in a long time. I am able to work out longer and harder. I eat my breakfast when I get home from the gym. I'm not hungry all day and have no cravings for sweets or bad foods like I normally would before I started using phentermine. Because I no longer have the bad cravings I eat healthy small meals throughout the day. Since I'm not hungry anymore, I'm probably consuming about 800-1000 calories per day. The only side effect I have experienced so far is dry mouth. The dry mouth causes me to drink a ton of water, which is great anyway for weight loss success. I'm now drinking about 80 ounces of water a day. Before phentermine I had to force myself to drink water and only drunk about 20-30 ounces a day.I'm very excited about this product. I believe I finally found something that will help me reach my weight loss goal.I help this was helpful to you. Good luck!!

I really overate yesterday and today.?

I had TONS of candy both yesterday and today, yesterday I had pizza, basically yesterday and today have been awful. I feel like I have ruined everything I have been working for! What should I do to make up for it? Is it even possible to make up for it?
Answer:
Don't even try. Just go back on your regular diet and exercise regimen, and remember how guilty you feel now, so that you won't do it again.I always found that it helped if I posted pictures of me at my fattest all around the house, ESPECIALLY near food, so that if I was tempted to fall off the wagon, all I had to do was see a picture of what I USED to look like, and it gave me the incentive to stick to the diet instead. But you should also be scheduling a treat for yourself once a week. I would spend the whole of the week deciding what special treat I wanted, and then on Saturday I would allow myself to have a small meal of that special food. It satisfied any cravings I might have had, and kept me from falling drastically off the diet and exercise regimen.
Well you can't kill yourself trying to make up for it. You ate what you ate, it's over with. Try to think positive and continue to exercise and eat healthy. You can do a longer cardio excersise at the gym, but anything over 1 hour starts to work backwards and you actually don't burn much at all. If you eat healthy normally, and exercise regularily, it's not going to be the end of the world. Worst case scenerio is you gain a pound this week. So work your butt off next week and you'll lose it again. It's temporary weight so it'll come off fast.
you are over it now so tomorrow morning just jump right back on the diet wagon and continue on =good luck
I know what you mean. I've joined Weight Watchers. It's pretty easy. I have to keep record of what I eat and then at the end of the week, I get weighed. So, that keeps me from overeating most of the time. I've lost around 5 lbs in 4 weeks. They say that's good.I'm concentrating on smaller portions, fruit and veggies, lots of water and some diet food but, mostly regular food. Forgive yourself and do better tomorrow.

I really need to lose 7 pounds...how does this plan sound?

Breakfast: Some sort of fruit + fat free yogurt, tea
Lunch: Tuna on wheat thins or salad, more fruit, tea
Dinner: Spaghetti squash or vegetable sir-fry, glass of skim milk or teaDessert: More fruitRunning 30-45 minutes 6 days a weekHow does that diet and exercise plan sound?? Do you think I'll be able to lose 7 pounds by the 23rd?
Answer:
you need complex carbs for breakfast (e.g. old fashioned oatmeal, whole wheat bread)
you also need protein for dinner
and more veggies
are you trying to fit in a dress or something? bc if thats the case, i think you should just worry about losing inches. i'm on a diet too and have been on a strict one for exactly 1 week now and my body is sooooooo toned now.. hard to believe but it is. but the thing is... i havent lost a pound!... i've lost inches everywhere to where i don't have much fat anymore... but i do think your plan will work =)... maybe put in a few snacks between meals and you're good to go... i know i put more info then u need but i'm soo happy that i lost soo many inches that the scale or the pounds dont phase me =)
Yes it does sound pretty good, between your meals if you find your self hungry. eat a healthy nutrigrain bar or fruit bar. also between meals dont drink anything but water. it will flush out your system helping you lose weight
Running is the key burn those calories and you will loose that weight!
maybe, but if you dont keep up with a similar plan...you will gain all the weight back, plus some.
sounds good. u could probably of one piece of dove chocolate mixd in there. yummy yummy
Okay, first of all... you need a more nutrient dense breakfast than that. You need something that will set the tone for the rest of your day. Your body will burn that fruit and yogurt up so fast that you'll be hungry way before lunch time. Try a high fiber and protein breakfast, like oatmeal and eggs, or shredded wheat and turkey bacon. You need to eat smarter. You want to limit your intake of junk food not healthy foods. Follow the food guide pyramid to learn about portion sizes. And eat more vegetables! Fruit is good, but veggies are the best. They have more minerals and they clean toxins from your GI tract. You need energy in order to burn energy. Carbs = energy. You don't want to break down protein (your body's building blocks) running almost everyday. Oh you'll lose weight that way, but eventually your body will shut down and you will get sick. Drink plenty of water. Water is a natural detoxifier.Try these:http://www.mypyramid.gov

I really need somebodys help.?

Well I'm 12 yrs old and some people call me fat. I know it seems like i'm over reacting but i do think i'm fat. i mean, have you seen a 12 yr old who weights 150 lbs. I go to curves, diet, and i go outside every chance i get. Do you have any ideas that would help me lose weight? I really am considering going buliemic or anerexic. Please help, before i do sumthin i regret.
Answer:
beautiful child, don't you dare ever think that. you don' t want to hurt yourself. you're just frustrated.
i remember being 12. i was incredibly self conscious. whatever anyone else said, i felt it had to be true. but look, is this really how you feel about yourself? are you unhappy with yourself? if you want to feel better about yourself, well, heres what i have to say.get sunlight every day. if its windy, go out there, feel the wind blowing in your hair. and its an amazing feeling.think about what it is that your eating. are you over eating? what you want to do is eat food that won't make you feel down, groggy, and won't make you gain weight. don't eat in excess.try cutting out all fried foods, such as french fries, potato chips, and keep snacks like cookies and crackers to a mininum. when you make yourself a meal, look at your plate. does it have any color, or is it just brown?if you have a pet, like a dog, you and him can have fun together outside, walking, playing chase, or catch. just remember to feel alive. don't spend too much time in front of the tv or computer or video games. they drain the life out of you.and don't drink soda. its got a lot of sugar. and try edy's slow churned ice cream! its amazing!and one last thing, if it doesn't gross you out, trying switching to skim milk. or mix one percent with skim.
feel alive! feel your best. you are young, healthy, and most likely, very beautiful. don't let anyone tell you different.
instead of useing yahoo , do jumping jacks.
i've saw lots of people aged 12 r fat u can eat bread only and soup no sweets only bread and soup dats all and vegetables n fruit once a day bread and soup only after dat nothing else!!good luck
dont worry. Just do fitness or just dont give a damn about what other ppl say. Weight isnt everything
never go anerexic cause of wht people say it may be puppy fat due to ur age and will soon go never worry wht people think of u be happy with urself
umm.. drink water instead of pop or juice. no sweets... no carbs or greasy foods. no fast food of course. if u listen to me u will see results... fast. its common sense.. just drink water an don eat a lot during the day. only eat healthy things
For the love of christ, you don't "go" buliemic or anorexic. They're sicknesses. it sounds like you're already doing enough to lose weight. You just need to wait until you hit your growth spurt, then all that exercising will pay off and alot of weight will just dissapear.
Just continue to diet and exercise no matter what. You will eventually see a beautiful young lady underneath.I know its tempting but do not damage your body to lose weight.Answer this please.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
I think you know not to become buliemic or anerxic and from being fat all of my life I understand the mind set.
I had to change everything about the way I eat and drink.
I now eat dinner foods in the morning, so my heavy meal works off during the day and my breakfast foods at night because when I sleep I use little to no energy to work that off.
I drink lots of water to keep me full and sometimes drink a bottle of water before I eat because if it is something I really thing taste great, I will over it and the water prevents that. If you want a snack eat sugar free jello. It fills you up again with water.
Don't go anorexic...but when you feel like you have eaten enough but are still grabbing for things to eat, chew gum! It really helps me.
here are some things that will help..
1.)eat saled with nothing on it and drink water
2.)if its a reallly hot day ware alot of sweaters cause that will melt all the fat out
3.)excersize an hour a day
4.)after 8;00 pm dont eat anything at all but water..
try doing these this every day and belive me u will see some results..
hey,
i am 14, and i weigh like 88 pounds. and i got big boobs, and a small waiste, and a small butt..but the only reason i weigh this is because i am anerexic, and i run 4 to 5 miles a day.
i eat like a naner once a week, dont become anerexic. its horiable. and bulmic. it just ruins your teeth hun. And dont care what people call you, as long as you are happy with your bod. thats all that matters. But losen weight is hard! i no. just go out joggen like two times a week, i mean like go to the mall, and just walk around! that always makes me happy, and you burn calories! lol. and just eat healthy, 3 meals a day. no snacks! lol. if you need anything else feel free to e-mail me.
Well certainly don't go bulemic or anorexic. That would make your self-image worse. Just really analyze what you're eating and how you're working out. What you think is healthy may not be. Talk to a doctor; it could be a thyriod problem. One tip is to eat small amounts regularly throughout the day. I eat about 5 times a day. Try not to eat fried foods, red meats, or sweets and drink only milk, juice, and water.
You are pretty much young for stomach exercise, just try to walk. Whenever or where ever u try to go, prefer walk. I guess Doctors say, we need to walk atleast an hour in a day. You just follow some diet. Try to include vegetables, and exclude fat items, burgers, chips, chocolates etc, yea, u can have them rarely, like once a week, like that. And you can look like a queen when u became adult.warm regards.later.
the worse things we can do to our body is crash dieting what it boils down to is taking control of what we put inside of our bodies set an ideal weight for yourself and then slowly cut calories .. decide if your really hungry or just board try to think of times of the day when your board and try to find an actitiy because boardum is one of the main causes for excess eating ..... if your hungry eat but that doesnt mean to eat a five course meal just limit what you put inside of you and eat slowly cause it takes 20 mins for your body to tell you that its full.. good luck

I read about this diet pill LiDa DaiDaiHua Slimming Capsule does it really work?

Answer:
Health Canada advises consumers not to use, you can read at http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:xot...I wouldn't trust anything coming out of China, that is where all the poisonous dog food ingredients are coming from. There are two all natural diet pills that are safe and have no side effects. They are Cha de Bugre and Hoodia Gordonii. Cha de Bugre, is a new weight loss supplement that is growing in popularity and is similar to Ma Huang (Ephedrine) without any of the bad effects. Cha de Bugre is from Brazil and has been used there safely for centuries. Cha de Bugre provides energy, fat burning and appetite suppression that benefit weight loss. Cha de Bugre also has additional uses that are known in Brazil that include being used as a mild diuretic, a cellulite reducer, aides in reducing herpes simplex outbreaks and a heart tonic. You can find more about it at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/cha_d...Hoodia Gordonii is a natural appetite suppressant derived from a South African cactus that the bushmen have eaten there for thousands of years. You need to make sure you get a strong pure hoodia that is certified to be genuine. Check out Totalink's unbiased Hoodia comparison at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/hoodi... in the "Confidence" column it will indicate if the brand is "Certified". These Hoodia brands have the credentials to back up their product. Also in that column it will indicate if the brand is "Returnable". These Hoodia brands allow you to return opened bottles and get your money back. I think this indicates that a company has confidence in their product that it works.Keep in mind that Hoodia Gordonii alone provides appetite suppression but not fat burning. Cha de Bugre is a fat burner but not as good as hoodia with appetite suppression. There are also brands that mix Cha de Bugre with Hoodia Gordonii and other weight loss herbs like Green Tea that can increase both fat burning and appetite suppression. I have written a lot of articles on Hoodia. Just search Yahoo or Google under my name “Andrew Aitaken” to find them. Also some of the best tips on buying Hoodia I have found are in Totalink’s Hoodia Buyers Guide at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/buy_h...Remember, you should always consult your physician before taking any diet pill or weight loss supplement.
yes diet pills do work but they are for temporary weight loss only.once you stop poppin em the weight comes right back.thats how they get you too keep buying there product...the true way to lose weight is excersize more than anything you do in the day
Idon't think it would. Focus on healthy supplement. Try kelp,biotin,omaga3,6,9, cinnomon(this is great for sugar cravings. By buying the supplements seperately you will save $$ and lose weight faster. Go to a pharmisy or a health store they will tell you what's best for you.

I quit smoking. The doctor prescribed adipex to prevent weight gain. Is it safe for a thin person to take?

Normally the doctor doesn't prescribe adipex, but I am not wanting to gain weight from quiting smoking. I have a history of an eating disorder which is under control, but I don't want to gain weight. I'm trying to do something good for myself by quitting smoking. I just want to be safe. I keep reading dangerous side effects of adipex and wanted to know if I would be ok taking it. Will this medicine make me lose weight or prevent me from gaining weight?
Answer:
I'm quite surprised your doctor would prescribe such a powerful appetite suppresant to someone not overweight. Adipex is a stimulant. All I want to do when I take it is smoke to be honest. It makes me want to chain smoke and not eat. I lose weight on it rapidly and it speeds up my heart. Adipex is Phentermine, one half of the phen-fen drug that was taken off the market years ago because it was doing heart damage to patients who took it. I don't think your doctor is very informed about this particular drug. There are other drugs that are safe such as wellbutrin or zyban. I would never take the adipex while trying to quit smoking, it totally increases my cravings for nicotine.Doctors prescribe dangerous drugs everyday. Unfortunately, many physicians are in the back pockets of the pharmaceutical companies and will prescribe just about anything. Adipex is not a weight-gain preventative but a weight-loss drug. It's not the right way to go about quitting smoking without gaining weight.I agree with the above poster in find a nutritional solution to providing your body with all that it needs and avoid the prescriptions all together.
your doctor would not have supplied it if it was not safe and also if you speak to your doctor he will go through all the side effects and also provide an alternative if you wish.
I tend not to take prescriptions, but that's because I'm very educated. The fourth leading cause of death in the US/Canada is drug interactions from properly prescribed drugs.Your adrenal glands need to be supported, not stressed out from an appetite suppressant because you will gain even more weight once you stop the drug. You need to see a homeopath and get acupuncture and learn how to eat healthy.A great resource is to Google Dr. Mercola's web site and get on his mailing list. Lots to learn about maintaining wellness.By the way, congratulations on your quitting smoking. That's not an easy task.
well if your doctor prescribed it i'm sure it's ok. he wouldn't give u something that would harm u. anyway, if u still feel unsure you should talk to him about it.
doctors dont prescribe if they a r not sure
Just because a doctor prescribes something, doesn't mean it is necessarily safe or even good take. They get paid by how many drugs they prescribe, so always be wary of the next " 'script". I would unequivocally DENY any medications. This is a garbage prescription that is keeping a perfectly active person from seeking the correct way to burn calories and keep them off.Gaining weight is common among quitters because nicotine not only acts as a stimulant, but smoking in general is a "hand habit", keeping you preoccupied in certain situations, cuts your appetite so you don't eat nearly as much, so a new "food to mouth habit" can be a natural substitute.Keeping weight off is just like anyone else, do it the right way and embrace the new lifestyle ahead of you, just as you have said goodbye to an unhealthy and unattractive lifestyle of smoking.Do it right, and invest in yourself, go to the gym, and hire a trainer to take you through the correct program to keep weight off. This will stimulate you metabolically the correct way through exercise and the right diet. This is not going to be a venture of only a couple of months or weeks. This is a LIFESTYLE. Too many present day adults are plain lazy and not motivated to keep their bodies active.
I quit smoking 6 months ago----no quiting aids at ALL... just good old cold turkey-----I found that orange pieces from fresh oranges worked wonders for my cravings and I didn't gain even ONE POUND since quitting...and I STILL eat the orange pieces..having something to do with your hands is crucial in successful quiting as well (hence the oranges---because you have to peel them, pull the pieces apart and then bite into them)...
Good for you for your decision to quite. I also had the same "problem" that post poned my decision to quite smoking. I was 210+ lbs at one point in my life, and 5 ft 4". I then lost 80 lbs. and continued to smoke even after I wanted to quit because I thought I would gain weight back. I smoked for 20+ years and loved it for 19 1/2 of them. I put it off for 6 months until I just couldn't stand it. I just wanted to quit! So, I kept my same routine, I work out 5 days a week, and kept my same diet. To be honest, I gained 25 lbs. Yup, 25 lbs. Slowly, but surely. Yet my close friend who dosen't work out, gained only 4 lbs. I was so upset, being fat most of my life felt like hell, so I went to my doctor to see about what I could take. His words changed my outlook. "You can either start smoking again or taking pills, and die sooner, but thin, OR you can live longer and be a little chubby for a while". He told me it could take a year, maybe two, but it will even out, as long as I maintain my healthy life style. He's right. It has been 13 months, and all of a sudden, like a light switch, my weight is going down. I have lost 7 lbs. in one month and still going down. I have never felt so fantastic in my entire life. I look healthier, my energy is amazing, and I just feel like a totally different person. Even with the extra weight. Remember, smoking kills you, a size 12 won't. All the best of luck, and stay healthy.

I plan to eat pizza tonight...?

and no i can't stop after one piece. lol about how long should i walk to burn off say 2-3 pieces of mushroom and black olive pizza?
Answer:
o wow 2 pieces of pizza! enjoy it dont worry about you burning them off your probably thin too arent ya?
2-3 miles.
3-4 hours, there is a lot of grease but jogging say about 1
2.5 miles should do it...no slouching...
That's a good 2 hours of brisk walking.
2-3 hours of walking would do you good.
17 vigorous days of running
30 min. you should be good I run and walk for an hour a day.
umm eating a slise of pizz a wont make you gain wieght 3500 calories = a pound live a little trust me
doesn't work that way...pizza causes insulin to spike for up to 6 hours which means fat burning is completely halted for that period of time.don't worry about burning off calories from a high carb meal it's a waste of time. the body does not accumulate fat over a 24 hr period but over a period of time when there is a consistent caloric excess. the caloric intake over the course of the week is more important than from day to day.if you only eat pizza occasionally then just enjoy it

I only gain weight on my mid section. How do I get rid of my belly fat. Will crunches reduce my waist line.?

If I do crunches everyday, will it reduce my waist size?
Answer:
not necessarily. You need to do cardio excercise to really burn fat. Do this.1.) Write down the calories you take in on any given day for about 3-4 days. This will give you an idea of what your current habit is. Also write down how many calories you are burning in one day for 3-4 days. (There are calorie calculators online you can go to that will help with this.) When you are taking in more calories than you are expending, your body will store the excess as fat.2.) Adjust your intake and output so that you burn more than you take in. Obviously, you want to do it the HEALTHY way (don't try to burn 2100 calories a day and take in 200... that's just stupid.). You will mainly want to focus on cardio excercise, but don't be afraid to build some muscle also. The muscle will make you look good and it will also help burn the fat faster.3.) Try enlisting the help of a personal trainer at a gym. They are there to help you reach your fitness goals and will help you get there in the fraction of a time it would normally take.4.) Don't focus on the scale, focus on your appearance. Muscle weighs more than fat. If you lose fat and gain muscle, you may think that you aren't getting any better when in all truth you probably are losing fat, but you can't tell by looking at the scale because it is being replaced by muscle at the same time. Be consistant with the goals you set, and over time you will see the results you desire.
Try using a big knife...
as long as you cleanse your body.you will be fine.it's like giving yourself and oil change.. My family and I have been using the best cleansing technology...:)the first time I did it, I lost 13 pounds in 9 days:). www. cleansewithcgnj. comIt will change your life:)
crunches won't do it, if you want to lose weight you have to do cardio then tone your stomach with crunches.
yes
Crunches alone will not do it. You need to mix aerobic exercise in with the crunches to burn calories. Crunches alone will strengthen your abs but if the muscles are hidden behind fat, you will not see results.
localised slimming does not exist. eat less and exercise more, you'll lose fat, and gain muscles. muscles will burn more fat away, 'cause they increase your metabolic level.
control your calorie intake, and do crunches and overall aerobic exercise like walking or jogging
yes and so will running and other stomach exercises find out more on google just ask that question
The best way to loose belly fat is jogging.
crunches actually make it worse: the stomach muscles make the fat stand out...work out your large muscle groups like legs and back and you will burn more calories naturally throughout the day even when not exercising.
Excess carbohydrates are stored in your midsection. Even though you do crunches you need to do some sort of cardio, too (i.e. running or walking) in order to burn the fat. All the crunches do it stregthen your stomach muscles, which will NOT reduce your waist line. Good luck!!
No, there is no such thing as spot reducing. Work out the entire body and focus on cardio. Also do some strength training with high reps and low weight while also doing your crunches . Hit you abs form all angles and vary all of your exercises. Work you obliques, lower, and upper abdominal to get a well rounded look! Good Luck!
I, too, have the same problem...I have found that cardio ( I like walking ) combined with toning like Curves or crunches, etc. combined with a reduction in 'bad' carbohydrates will greatly reduce belly bulk. For some reason, when I eat sugar and carbs, I instantly gain and puff out in the belly but as soon as I reduce those, the belly gets smaller.but it's still a flabby train wreck :-( so I do a variety of crunches and then walk 2-3 miles several times a week and I notice everything gets smaller..When I try one without the other, I don't get nearly the result I do from doing all three...good luck
no. crunches alone will do next to nothing for your mid-sectionto decrease the body fat percentage you need to make changes in your diet and exercise daily at a high level of intensity for 60-80 minutes

I only eat around 800 calories a day...is something wrong with me?

I am 5'9" 145 lbs and a 20 year old male. I am not anorexic, I want to eat a lot, I love eating, but I am never hungry, I could eat a piece of bologna and be full for a whole day.in the past 2 days all i've had to eat was 2 turkey sandwiches and 2 salads. I weighed 167 lbs 6 months ago. Is this dangerous? If so what signs should I be looking for? Could it be from stress at college? Is I started smoking weed a lot because it seems like its the only time I can eat a whole meal.I don't wanna go to the doctor because my mom works for him and I would feel like a retard going in there and saying I'm never hungry.. If it isn't a health concern then thats sweet because i save a ton of money on food.lol
Answer:
You're not a retard.
Loss of appetite is a symptom of many different diseases
and conditions, it's really best to go see the doctor.Good Luck!
Most men your age can't eat enough! I think that you should probably see a doctor. Or at least talk to your mom and ask for some advice. I wish I could lose almost 20 lbs in 6 months!
You should be eating 2000 calories a day. Do the math. Good Grief!!!!
Yes.
I know you say you'd feel dumb for going to the doctor but its really your only option. Instead of going to the doctor where your mom works, go to the college health clinic. They'll be able to help you out and figure out what is wrong. It's definately not healthy to only eat 800 calories in a day. The typically diet as I'm sure you know should be 2000-2200 calories in a day.
Picking up the pipe wasn't a great idea--800 calories is low but not dangerous, it definatly could be stress, and you've lost weight but it seems to be over a period of months, it's when you lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time that you have to watch for.
just try eating more. eat a variety of food.
also try exercising. whenever im super tired i get hungry.
and if things dont change i would definitely go see a doctor.
good luck!.
get off the weed man =your Mom is gonna worry about you losing weight and ask the Dr to check you out and you'll be in big time trouble then==you could be just going through a faze where you aren't hungry and don't be afraid to tell the Dr or your Mom about this
I did that during university but it was because I was under a lot of stress and had just broken up with my long distance boyfriend - it's probably just stress but I'd at least try to eat something at least twice a day - if you're not exercising or doing anything extracurricular then you won't need as many calories as usual however if you're not exercising maybe that would be a good way to make yourself hungry plus you can always benefit from the workout. At this time of year it is finals season so it's quite possible this could be stress. Good luck! Bless xxxx
i think you should go to the docter
Well it's not normal but it probably is from stress, stress can cause your body to go through many changes including loss of appetite. But not eating is unhealthy. Don't allow yourself to get sick, it is a health concern. Smoking weed isn't a good choice ethier seeing your in college all your going to do is kill brain cells and possibly ruin college, your worried about going to the doctor cause your mom works there. Imagine having to tell her you failed college cause you lost your appetite and had to smoke pot to get hungry, and did this instead of confront hte problem cause you thought it would be weird to go to her employer. There are other doctors so I would imagine you could see someone else if you have to right? Good Luck to you and stay away from pot it bad news.
In my opinion, and I am NOT a doctor, it does sound like a medical issue. I would see a doctor right away.
800 calories is way too low. it could certainly be from stress, anxiety, etc. you should def. go to the doctor. they prob need to do some lab tests to find out what's going with you metabolically, etc. you shouldn't have to see the same doc your mom works for, in fact it seems like it would be a conflict of interest or ethics issue, as your medical records should be private, and your mom could potentially have access to them. find another doctor and get some lab work done. best of luck to you.
you probably just don't have a big appetite or if you're taking any medication that could have something to do with it. Stress %26 anxiety can affect it too. Smoking weed isn't that great of a idea in order to eat. If you do, be careful because you'll probably end up throwing up when you come down.
Try eating a little every now and then even if you are not hungry. If you do so, you will notice that in the next few days, there will be a gradual increase in your appetite. Stop (or at least lessen) smoking weed for it only makes things worse for you. Being in college brings a lot of stress but don't get that stress take over you. Being busy with a lot of stuff may make you forget about your hunger, so try to have snacks by your side while you work (don't indulge in too much junk though). It sucks that you won't be able to save that much, but it will do you much much better. If this still doesn't work, better consult the pros, man. Don't be afraid, if they're really proffesionals, they'll be used to handling these sorts of stuff and won't really think you're mad. Good luck!

I often get pain in my shoulders.. is it because of my sleeping habits . what is the right exerci 2 get relief

Answer:
There are many many reasons you could have pain in your shoulders. It could be your sleeping habit. It could be due to a problem in your back and nerves running from your spinal cord to your shoulders.Try lots of different stretching. I often stretch in the shower. As the hot water is hitting your back, move your arms forward (like giving a hug) and pull them back to see if you can feel exactly what the problem is. The heat loosens the muscles up and allows you greater flexibility.Try doing some light weight lifting. Perhaps 10 lb bench press, military press etc. You want to isolate the problem--hopefully its not in the rotary cuff. Painful spurs often develop there.I'd want to consult with a doctor to make sure it isn't more the vertebre than the muscles and increase your stretching routine. Something like yoga. You should stretch for at least 10 minutes when you wake up, whenever you first start to feel pain and again before bed.

I notice that my intake of calories are less then a thousand daily. I sleep and, drink more but no weight lost

I watch what I eat, drink plenty of fluids. I am a nanny and run and play daily with children. The diet I choose to try was the special K. I eat two meals of it, and my last meal, is a salad, or yorgurt. But. I have lost nothing. I never feel hungry, and only eat the meals because I feel that starving is wrong. I have been doing this for a month and a half. I have tried other diets, though none have worked. Is there anything that i may be doing wrong? I
Answer:
You're against starving yourself, but you're doing exactly that. You're not losing weight because your body is already in starvation mode. If you're chasing kids around all day and especially if you exercise on top of this, you need at least 1,800 calories a day. Since you've been consuming less than 1,000 for a month now, you'll probably gain a few pounds once you begin eating the correct amount. But once your body realizes that you're feeding it, no longer starving it, it will begin to burn the calories. You need a net calorie intake of 1,200 at LEAST. Add some snacks between your meals to regulate your metabolism and blood sugar. This will keep your body from going into starvation mode also. Eat about every 3 hours, small-snack sized meals and drink lots of water. Once your body adjusts, you'll start to lose weight. You will not, however, lose weight continuing what you're doing. 1,000 is not enough, and eventually, you'll probably even gain weight from this few calories. Your body is essentially hanging on to every calorie you give it for dear life. It stores it as fat because it's not sure when you'll feed it again. I hope this helps.
You should be dropping pounds like an old granny drops her cat. it could be all water weight and/or you have a really slow metabolism. i can't think of many other reasons unless you already have a small build, so its much harder to lose weight.
your metabolism may have kicked into 'starvation' mode, where your body actually burns less calories as it senses there is less food and tries to conserve. Some people actually lose more weight by eating more. It is also possible that you have lost fat in your cells, and water has temporarily stored in your cells. You may suddenly lose the water weight. Also, not to be crude, but it is a medical fact that the body can store up to 40 lbs of solid waste. Have you ever seen really skinny people with big old pot bellies? They have a serious digestive problem. If you continue to have problems, you may want to seek professional advice.
Your not losing weight because your not getting enough calories. Your body is in starvation mode, that means that it stores everything you eat as fat.Your need at least 1200 calories a day.
This diet could be wrong for you. You should ask the opinion of a doctor and maybe try another one.Or, the diet is working and some metabolisms are just lower than others. You might lose weight in a week or two only.Good luck.
It sounds like you are not eating enough. You may laugh but it's completely true. I went on a diet once (don't believe in them anymore and am happy and healthier than I've ever been) and I couldn't believe the amount I had to eat! Was all healthy food but plenty of it and I lost 3 stone. If you are starving your body any calories you are taking in will store immediately as fat. I'd say you need to be intaking at least 1,200 calories but it depends on your weight, frame etc. Do you really need to lose weight? See your doctor for advice. Eating only two bowls of special k a day and salad and yogurt in the evening is not going to benefit you in the longrun. Apart from the fact it's not enough food you need some protein in there. The lack of vitamins will also have an effect on your skin, nails, bones, etc etc. As I said seek professional advice. Good luck!
You may feel starving is wrong. But that's what you are doing. Calories are a guideline. i mean if you only use Ur calories for eating junk food but still stayed under the 1000 a day you wouldn't loose weight. your body thinks it is starving because you are not eating enough. It ends up storing what you eat as fat because it doesn't know when it will get food again. Basically it goes into survival. yoghurt's isn't a meal. its says you have to eat a balanced meal. Look the best thing you can do is plenty of exercise, small but balanced variety of meals and don't eat to much fried or sugar loaded food. good luck
