I notice that my intake of calories are less then a thousand daily. I sleep and, drink more but no weight lost

I watch what I eat, drink plenty of fluids. I am a nanny and run and play daily with children. The diet I choose to try was the special K. I eat two meals of it, and my last meal, is a salad, or yorgurt. But. I have lost nothing. I never feel hungry, and only eat the meals because I feel that starving is wrong. I have been doing this for a month and a half. I have tried other diets, though none have worked. Is there anything that i may be doing wrong? I
Answer:
You're against starving yourself, but you're doing exactly that. You're not losing weight because your body is already in starvation mode. If you're chasing kids around all day and especially if you exercise on top of this, you need at least 1,800 calories a day. Since you've been consuming less than 1,000 for a month now, you'll probably gain a few pounds once you begin eating the correct amount. But once your body realizes that you're feeding it, no longer starving it, it will begin to burn the calories. You need a net calorie intake of 1,200 at LEAST. Add some snacks between your meals to regulate your metabolism and blood sugar. This will keep your body from going into starvation mode also. Eat about every 3 hours, small-snack sized meals and drink lots of water. Once your body adjusts, you'll start to lose weight. You will not, however, lose weight continuing what you're doing. 1,000 is not enough, and eventually, you'll probably even gain weight from this few calories. Your body is essentially hanging on to every calorie you give it for dear life. It stores it as fat because it's not sure when you'll feed it again. I hope this helps.
You should be dropping pounds like an old granny drops her cat. it could be all water weight and/or you have a really slow metabolism. i can't think of many other reasons unless you already have a small build, so its much harder to lose weight.
your metabolism may have kicked into 'starvation' mode, where your body actually burns less calories as it senses there is less food and tries to conserve. Some people actually lose more weight by eating more. It is also possible that you have lost fat in your cells, and water has temporarily stored in your cells. You may suddenly lose the water weight. Also, not to be crude, but it is a medical fact that the body can store up to 40 lbs of solid waste. Have you ever seen really skinny people with big old pot bellies? They have a serious digestive problem. If you continue to have problems, you may want to seek professional advice.
Your not losing weight because your not getting enough calories. Your body is in starvation mode, that means that it stores everything you eat as fat.Your need at least 1200 calories a day.
This diet could be wrong for you. You should ask the opinion of a doctor and maybe try another one.Or, the diet is working and some metabolisms are just lower than others. You might lose weight in a week or two only.Good luck.
It sounds like you are not eating enough. You may laugh but it's completely true. I went on a diet once (don't believe in them anymore and am happy and healthier than I've ever been) and I couldn't believe the amount I had to eat! Was all healthy food but plenty of it and I lost 3 stone. If you are starving your body any calories you are taking in will store immediately as fat. I'd say you need to be intaking at least 1,200 calories but it depends on your weight, frame etc. Do you really need to lose weight? See your doctor for advice. Eating only two bowls of special k a day and salad and yogurt in the evening is not going to benefit you in the longrun. Apart from the fact it's not enough food you need some protein in there. The lack of vitamins will also have an effect on your skin, nails, bones, etc etc. As I said seek professional advice. Good luck!
You may feel starving is wrong. But that's what you are doing. Calories are a guideline. i mean if you only use Ur calories for eating junk food but still stayed under the 1000 a day you wouldn't loose weight. your body thinks it is starving because you are not eating enough. It ends up storing what you eat as fat because it doesn't know when it will get food again. Basically it goes into survival. yoghurt's isn't a meal. its says you have to eat a balanced meal. Look the best thing you can do is plenty of exercise, small but balanced variety of meals and don't eat to much fried or sugar loaded food. good luck
