Run stairs. It'll happen in no time.You can also do squats and lunges with weights.
Squeeze your *rear* together and hold for as long as you can (20 seconds or so) - and repeat as much as you can!! Do this two or three times a day and I PROMISE you will see results. Plus -- you can do this exercise anywhere.
Commit yourself to the following exercises 5 times a week:3 sets of 15 lunges
3 sets of 15 squatsOn the floor, get on your back. Push yourself up mainly using your butt so you are in the position to crab walk. Push (using glutes) your stomach up as high as possible. Hold for about 10 seconds. Repeat this doing 2 sets 10.Whey you are at home, use your stairs as a work out. As you go up them, stand on your tip toes (working calves) and skip steps as you escalate to the top. I go up and down the stairs about 25 times a day. It works your leg muscles and improves glutes (butt muscles).Good luck!!

Hey Laurie,First of all DO NOT strength train 5 days a week as previously suggested. You need at least one day off inbetween work-outs to allow your muscles to recover. Also, don't waste your time with the, "butt squeze," this will just burn, but will get you little to no results except a stinging bottom.Most importantly, the secret to having an appealing firm butt is, initially, losing the fat around it. So keep up with your cardio.Secondly, here are some great butt exercises. I wouldn't waste my time with little leg-lifts which some people might suggest, they're more of an aerobic exercise and, like the butt squeze, will only burn and won't build muscle (which is how you firm and tone a muscle). I'd say the best exercise you can do without any equipment is a lunge. Below is a site that will help you with your form. The written description is severly lacking, but follow the picture. Just make sure your forward knee does not go past the toe of that foot.You want to feel fatigued by the 24th lung (12 for each leg). For some people just their body weight works at first. For other people, you need extra weight. Put on a backpack and load it with books.Another simple thing you can do is skip a step when you walk up steps! Good luck with your butt!
