my stomach isnt all that big, but it has a blug at the bottom and i would love to get rid of it for the summer. i was told crunches work but does it flatten the whole stomach or just the top part?and also wat should i eat to keep m,y tummy flat. i had white rice, baked chicken and a salad for lunch today. is that good? please help!
Answer:
stay away from anything white:
-white potatoes
-white rice
-white bread
-white pasta, etc. These products have more starch in them, which in turn is converted into sugar and goes straight for your belly. As for excersies, have you tried crunches on the floor with your feet resting up on the seat of a chair?
no offense but why ask these normal people who don't know anything if you can go to your local gym and ask professionals!!
muscle building and tightening in the lower abs= leg raises..lay flat on your back and raise your legs together to about 6 inches, then 12 inches then 24 inches...and then down..any order is fine and do it for reps..and hold them there also...e
crunches will work the whole stomach area, but try laying flat on your back and just lift your legs straight to the ceiling. you can do it in front of the couch if you need something to hold onto behind you.
i need to do the same...lol
i was told crunches but i cant do those so i did research and looked in magazines and found out that every month in glamour magazine they have some work out ideas and they are fairly easy or you could by a exercise thing called the ab lounge my step mom has one and it seems to work pretty well for her.
also if your like me and your not fat but just have a lil belly pudge lol then i would say you dont have to change your diet entirely if you dont want to i would just say try lay off the sweets and junk food.
its up to you though.
buy a Gravity Trac , look on ebay
No matter what anyone tells you it is impossible to target train fat. You can only loose fat as your body decides to use it, which is dependent on genetic fat patterning. You have to burn fat (loose weight) all over, which will eventually target your abdomen AND get the muscles underneath in shape. There is another thing to remember here. What you are seeing may not be just the effect of sub-cutaneous fat (under the skin) it could be behind the muscle wall as well, pushing it out. Tighter muscles will help hold everything in place.Muscle is sexy. Good Luck.
First of all, you can't "spot reduce" so you can't remove fat from one spot on the body by targeting it with one exercise. Crunches will condition the muscle underneath and there might be a minimal flattening effect if you haven't done them for some time but they won't remove the fat. The body puts on and takes off body fat in reverse order, which means the first place it puts it on (torso) is the last place it takes it off. So chances are if all you really feel the need to lose fat on is the lower abs, you probably have reduced fat stores significantly on the arms and legs so the body will have no choice but to go after the fat stored on the lower torso. If you want to target the lower ab region do reverse crunches (lying flat, roll your knees to the chin and release in a controlled manner; traditional crunches do target the upper ab region, so use bothin a ab program). Diet and exercise for the entire body as a whole is the best way to eliminate excess body fat. Be sure to balance cardio and resistance(weight) training together. As far as diet, mainly focus on your calorie intake and fat intake as well since fat has over twice the calories per gram as protein and carbs. So lots of fruits and veggies and lean meats like the chicken you had (be sure to not eat the skin.) And of course drink plenty of water. Good Luck!
If you have the money to spend, I would go to your nearest Target and buy the Gunnar Peterson's Core Secret's workout. Depending on how much time you want to spend on flattening your tummy, this works great!! I've been doing it for a month (every day except sunday) and I've gotten a flatter stomach and lost weight. (i'm trying to losing baby weight) You're doing a workout while sitting on a ball. Keeping your balance while doing the workout moves is what tones your tummy. It works your whole body, too. It's awesome. It's always good to eat right, but exercise and drinking plenty of water is key, too. It costs $40, but it is totally worth it! Trust me!
