I want to loose 25 pounds in 6 weeks! What is the best way?

I am 6'4 and I currently weigh 245 lbs, but I think that a normal healthy weight for me would be 220, and I also think I will look much better at that weight. Don't get me wrong, I don't think I look like a fat cow, but by no means am I "comfortable" with my weight. What would be the best way to loose weight in 6 weeks before I go home for summer? Any suggestions would be great!
Answer:
That's too much weight in too little time. 12 pounds in six weeks would already be great results from any program. What you want is to cut your calories to about 2500 per day, divided over six meals per day (that's important. eat smaller meals more often.) and drink a lot of water.Lift weights four days a week, emphasizing leg training. Do cardio for one hour, twice a week (running if you can run for an hour straight, or ride a bike.) You'll see results after just a week or two. Lean meats and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, some starch, no sugar. Don't eat bread or pasta and try to stay away from alcohol.Do it for three months, and you'll be a much stronger, healthier 220.
as i always say .. "if you want to loose weight, dont eat too much" ..this is it basically !! now, in ur case if you want to accelerate this process .. ull have to do a little bit extra .. what you need to do is get only the enough nutrients which keeps you alive while maintaining a healthy rich diet .. so eat lots of fresh fruits, vegs and fibre rich foods and lots of proteins and healthy fat (ex. olive oil) and drink lots of water .. then u top this up with excercise and u in shape in no time ... try some aerobics (no weight lefting .. etc) some running, cycling ..etc avoid sugars, modified starch (like rice, pasta, chips, most types of bread) and drink some water to make u sweat and dissolve the stored fat and ull be very thin and healthy before u say the word 'fat' !
stop eating sugars,breads,pasta
eat only fruits and veggies and small portions of meat
First of all, if you're not really a fat cow and really overeating your goal is way too aggressive. You might be able to drop that weight but you're going to end up skinny fat because you'll have burned all your muscle. You would have to create a deficit of 2,000 calories a day. That's practically a normal person's daily allowance. So, if I were you I would use the following calculator to get an estimate of my minimum calorie requirements and eat no less than that:http://www.cordianet.com/calculator.htm...Then I would create the required deficit to lose weight through muscle building/preserving exercises like squats, benching, push-ups and pull-ups.
