I want to lose 15 pounds in 3 weeks and 2 days. I just started a fruit and vegetable diet?

Today is my second day on this diet and its really been rough but i intend to follow it through all the way. I have been feeling fine (slight headache and periodically feeling hungry) but other than that, i've been fine.I have been drinking plenty of water. I sometimes use dressings for my salads. and cook my vegetables in olive oil. Is it realistic and possible to lose this weight in 3 weeks?. I intend to keep this diet but i will slowly add meats to it to maintain the weight I lost. Any helpful suggestion are appreciated. Its an absolute must that I lose this weight by May 26, 2007

I don't know how much this will help but I will try.I found out I was diabetic about a year ago...and the weight just kept piling on, which worsened my condition.Stay away from liquor. Ten pounds a week with just a drink or two, it will hurt you if you want to lose weight!High protein, low carb diets are best. Eat all the meat you want, eggs, low fat milk, low fat milk products including yogurt...CARBS hold the fats in your body and not only make sugar in your body but also hold in fats. So...eat the meats. Eat all you can hold. Eat the fruits and veggies, the salads, with low-fat dressings. Go ahead and throw some egg and ham and cheese on your salad if you want. A little cheese, because we figure they are not low-fat. A few croutons because we figure they are not either. Macaroni and potato salad just a tiny bit for the same reasons...plus pasta and potato and mayo hold that fat in all the wrong tissues. Avoid them if you can.Don't eat the bread they bring you or the potato. Eat the steamed vegies. Give the bread and potatoe to whoever you are with. Carbs keep the fat in your muscles. Steer clear of my FAVORITES, I crave them SO badly...CARBS, CARBS, I LOVE CARBS! Potatoes and pasta and bread and muffins and bagels.YUM.are the worst culprits of carbs...ANY kind of bread (sandwich, bagel, English muffin, even breads that feel HEALTHY). Some beans even but they usually even out with the healthy aspects they give you. For breads, use ONLY whole grains, whole wheat, NO white EVER unless you are eating the white that fools children...looks white, acts white but is really whole grain. The more whole grain the better. Roman Meal, Nature's brand oat bread...or the generic equivalent. For breakfast, the same sort of things...grains. Very filling but healthy and calorie burning as they do NOT hold the fats in your tissues. Cream of Wheat, Grits, the COOKED kind of oatmeal, NEVER instant; (I can't use sugar but for most everything SPLENDA makes such a great substitute that you can't even tell the difference. Only in a very few cooked items, but very few. My family, non-diabetics, eat it and don't even know it. ;) ) So, to make it easy...eat meat (protein), fruits and vegies (cooked in canola or olive oil is actually good for you, in an iron skillet even more so), only whole grain breads and low or non-fat dairy products. Steer clear of liquor, carbs (potatoes, pasta, breads unless whole GRAINS). Broiled or blackened and broiled for meat is good.Fried and battered is bad.Deep fried is better than pan fried.Pan fried with only spices (no batter) on the meat or vegies and a light spatter of canola or olive oil in the pan is fine.Wok cooked veggies with very little of the above oils is good.I can't think if I missed anything. I'll check back tomorrow and see if you emailed me and asked me anything. All I really know for sure is how they've told me to eat healthily...and meat (protein) is NOT bad for you, it is the CARBS that retain the fat in your tissues...and create sugar for diabetics.K.:)Deb

well honestly it is not healthy to lose more then 1-2 pounds a week...but a really good way to lose weight is cutting out all the foods that have hydrogenated oils in them...its in a lot of bad food. my mom did that and lost 40lbs..good luck :)
i would not eat just that because fruit and veggies make you blout alot . you'll need other kinds of fiber and some protein each day not alot of protein just some like 3 to 6oz and less sugar the better i lost 20# fast when i didnt consume sugar every day and that means staying away from some fruits
This diet truly works for me. If you are really interested in losing weight then this is the one that works fast. It is a detox. diet, so you are cleaning out your system at the same time that you are losing weight. None of the vital food sources are left out. It ALWAYS works for me. You won't be left feeling hungry.If you are serious about losing weight then search the web for 'cabbage soup diet'. There are a few variations of the cabbage soup itself so pick the one you think you will like and then follow the seven day plan, which is the same for all of them. It works, I know because I use it every now and again. (And have been for many years) Mainly after Christmas. And don't worry, you don't ONLY eat cabbage. You lose 5kg+ in one week. (+- 11 lbs) but obviously only if you follow it strictly! (And drink lots of water!) Exercise regularly to increase weight-loss.Don't forget that this IS a Diet and not meant to be continued for weeks on end. After you have lost 5kg you must evaluate your eating/exercise habits and make consequent changes if you don't want to gain it back.Good luck skinny!
well, if you are looking for fast result then fad diet is your choice.Since it's an absolute must for you to lose weight by May 26, then I recommend this hard diet. A modification of the famous cabbage soup diet, but this one is tastier and a lot HEALTHIER.I have tried it before and I succeeded losing 10 pounds within a week.Ingredients: * 1 Bombay onion or garlic
* 6 green onion leaves
* 1 big cauliflower
* 6 fresh tomatoes
* 2 pieces of paprika
* Celery
* 1 fillet of salmon (without skin)
* Salt and pepper
* Oregano powder
* Water (adjust the amount to your preferences)Instructions:First sprinkle the salmon fillet with salt and pepper, add a sprinkle of oregano. Leave it for a few hours.Then chop the salmon fillet to a small dice size.Chop the green onion leaves, garlic, cauliflower, and paprika and tomatoes.Then put all of the ingredients into the water and boil it. Leave all the ingredients in the boiling water for 10 minutes.Then lower the fire and keep boiling it until all the ingredients are soft.
This soup will be your main course throughout the week so it鈥檚 better if you stock more ingredients just in case your supply runs out.The soup should also be your choice if you feel hungry.You should also drink pure water at least 10 glass a day.
