try to lose 30lbs another way, THEN buy the eliptical. i wouldnt test it...if you thought it worked and then were doing your workout and mid-way it broke that could lead to a pretty serious injury!

See if you can find a place to try the machine out yourself. That's really the best way. If you feel comfortable using it, then you're good. You will need to learn which stretching exercises are best before walking each day or you'll end up with painful shin splints.
