www.jillianmichaels.comIts a pretty good site. But you do have to pay for a membership.
walk three to five miles daily at a brisk pace without increasing your calorie intake and drink a minimum of 100 ounces of clear water daily. Be suprised that it works.
try running or walking to places close to home Everyday and lay low on sweets and also go to the gym!!
I use a website called mycaloriecounter...it is free and it is very user friendly! You can choose how many calories you want to consume per day and it will give you a menu of food for the day. It also gives some good excersizes. You can journal what you eat and it tracks your progress. Also, 40 lbs in 3 months is going to be tough, although I'm sure you can do it. If you are looking for something to help you, I just thought I would tell you the program I am on. It is called Isagenix. It has helped me to lose 10.5 pounds and 10 inches in 11 days. I am on my 2nd cycle of the 11 day program hoping for great results again! If you are interested let me know and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have =) Have a great day!-Breanna
It will take longer than 3 months. Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/ca... This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.Guide to Dieting - http://straighthealth.com/pages/guides/d...

I lost 40 pounds in 2 months. I walked 3 hours a day (1 hr intervals) Monday through Friday. Weight fell off!!
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
i lost 40 pounds in 4 months by switching to a low sugar, low fat diet. i switched to smaller portions too and didnt eat past 7pm. i excersized daily- walked up 30 mins on the treadmill, 50 steps on the stairmaster, 100 on my healthrider and 150 on my ab lounge (50 each side, 50 forward). i did all this by myself. all you need is determination. i also cut out fast food and switched to diet soda- but i found out diet sodas bad for you- it damages your kidneys. anyways, good luck.
